About Fouché

Born in New York City but soon moved to and grew up on the Caribbean Island of Hispanola, in the country of Haiti.  I grew up immersed in the Haitian culture, its rhythms and its sounds and returned to the United States at the age of 16.  I followed my love for music and combined it with the opportunities available to me here.  image

What I do professionally is no surprise to me.  When I look back at my childhood, I remember incessantly tapping percussive rhythms on my school desk, the dinner table, or the headrest of the front seat of the car… Music was, in one way or another, always part of my life.
I graduated from The College For Recording Arts in San Francisco in 1992.  I diligently studied courses in Music Business, Music Law, Studio Electronics, Sound Engineering, Sound Reinforcement, Music Production, and Sound for Film.  Among my instructors were such greats as Fred Catero (Janis Joplin, Carlos Santana, Herbie Hancock, Phoebe Snow, Chicago, Blood, Sweat & Tears, the Pointer Sisters) Leo De Gar Kulka (Frank Sinatra, Nat “King” Cole, Little Richard, Herb Alpert, Sam Cooke), James Allen (Backdraft, Terminator 2)...

Over the past few years I’ve had the good fortune of working with Herbie Hancock, Living Colour (Vernon Reid, Doug Wimbish, Will Calhoun, Cory Glover), Chuck D, Musiq Soulchild, just to name a few.  I recently completed the score to “Afro Samurai” the game produced by Namco Bandai Games, Inc.  As well, I continue to work on album projects for artists throughout the region.
Now settled in Northern California, my recording studio encompasses what I believe to represent my core beliefs:  high quality, passion, honesty.  It provides a comfortable environment for artists to freely express their creativity using today’s state of the art recording and mixing equipment.
